Speaker FAQs

I have submitted a speaking abstract. When will I be notified if it has been accepted?
The Call for Presentations deadline is July 1st, 2013. Speakers will be notified by early August.

Does MAGNETICS 2014 cover speaker travel expenses?
No. Speakers are responsible for their own travel expenses.

Does MAGNETICS 2014 provide speaker honorariums?
No. Speakers are not paid to participate at MAGNETICS 2014.

Do speakers need to register for MAGNETICS 2014?
Yes. Although your registration fee is waived, you do need to register to have a badge and materials waiting for you when checking in for the conference. Upon your presentation being accepted, an email will be sent from the conference program manager with a special Speaker Registration link.

How long is my session?
Except for Keynote presentations, all sessions are 30 minutes long.

What date and time is my session?
This information will be available as soon as the schedule is finalized.

What is the deadline to submit my presentation for the Conference Proceedings?
The deadline for the conference proceedings is December 19th, 2013.

Am I required to use a MAGNETICS 2014 template for my presentation?
No. You may use your company template.

What A/V equipment will be provided in the session rooms?
An LCD projector, screen and microphone will be in all session rooms. Speakers will be using their personal laptop computers.
